Starbucks ushers in autumn 2022 with the early release of the Pumpkin Spice Latte

That’s right - do away with the sunscreen and swimming trunks - it’s officially the start of pumpkin season!

As with every year, it’s not properly autumn until Starbucks releases their Pumpkin Spice Latte, and they’ve just announced the beloved caffeinated drink is back in stores now. 

Those not ready to say goodbye to summer can look away now, but if you’re a Starbucks Rewards member, you get early access to the celebrated tipple, which makes us want to immediately jump into a pile of crunchy leaves and grab the nearest cosy jumper.

As per the Starbucks website, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is made up of a combination of “Starbucks Espresso Roast, pumpkin pie flavoured sauce and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.”

Joining the classic PSL this year is a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which is the original’s icy sister drink, with vanilla syrup and pumpkin cream cold foam and pumpkin spice topping. 

Of course, you could always go for the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino if you’re still feeling a bit warm in the sunshine, but there’s also the Iced Salted Maple Caramel Latte, which comes with a delicious caramel crunch topping to keep you cool. 

PSL fans are already going wild for the comeback of the seasonal drink. Foodie alert Instagram account, @newfoodsuk posted about the resurgence of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and autumnal coffee lovers rejoiced. 

“It’s Baaaacccckkkk!,” wrote one fan, while another said: “it’s the most wonderful time of the year!!”

When you’re ordering, just ask for a chocolate cream frappuccino with caramel and hazelnut syrup, and mocha and caramel drizzle. Doesn't that sound ridiculously delicious? Just whatever you do, don't forget that caramel drizzle!
