Coachella has officially kicked off 2023's festival season - though we may have peaked early.

Held in the Colorado Desert, California, for most music fans, Coachella marks the end of the summer and the start of our favourite season of all - standing in the sun, drinking beer and watching bands.

This year's three-day extravaganza boasts an especially eclectic lineup with headliners like Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Frank Ocean gracing the stage each night. We can't tell you what the beer was like because we didn't actually go, but it looked very sunny from what we've seen on Twitter.

Oh, on Friday this happened...

Opening with their 1978 hit 'One Way or Another' and seamlessly transitioning to 'Hanging on the Telephone', it looks like the New York band's Coachella set was a Blondie set for the ages. But the excitement reached fever pitch when the legendary Nile Rodgers then joined them on stage, adding his magic to 'Rapture' and Debbie Harry's debut solo single 'Backfired'.

Rodgers, who had produced 'Backfired', released in 1981 also, served as a significant inspiration for 'Rapture', thanks to his work with disco titans Chic, which the same year, made history as the first song with disco vocals to top the charts in the United States.

Summer is coming! Cheers!
