Two of the UK's most-loved bands have joined forces for a headline tour next summer.

Fans will be able to watch Manic Street Preachers and Suede together on one bill next year.

The tour will begin on 28th June at Llangollen in Wales before heading to the likes of Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl and Cardiff Castle before coming to a close at London’s Alexandra Palace Park on Thursday 18th July.

Check out the tour dates below:

The Manics are also working on their 15th studio album, the follow up to the number 1 ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’.

They also played some festivals this year.

Suede released their 9th studio album, 'Autofiction' earlier this year, and also played a completely sold out UK tour.

The bands will take it in turns to close the show across the tour.

According to NME, the bands will play for approximately 75 minutes of about 16 songs.

Manics bassist and lyricist Nick Wire said on BBC Breakfast this morning: “We’ve both got a dedicated fanbase, but we do share a gene pool and a rabid denomination of fans".

"It’s because we never belonged to anything apart from ourselves. We were never part of grunge, we never part of Britpop.”

He added: “And we just looked better than anyone back then anyway.”

Suede frontman Brett Anderson said: “It’s really inspiring to have a band that you love playing with you. It’s like a friendly competition.”

Tickets go on sale 9am Friday 13th October via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.  For Ireland tickets will be available via www.ticketmaster.ie.

Brett Anderson and James Dean Bradfield will be guests on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch on Wednesday October 11th.
