Speaking of the Kaiser Chiefs, frontman and Virgin Radio drivetime host Ricky recently admitted one of the band’s most beloved singles could have had a video directed by esteemed filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.

“I always get a little bit embarrassed when I mention his name,” Ricky said on his show on Monday (22nd January). “I can remember a phone call I had with Matthew Vaughn, circa maybe 2004, about the possibility of him making the video for Oh My God,” he said.

“His film credits are, like, Lock Stock, Snatch, Layer Cake, and more recently, Kingsman and Kick-Ass, and I'm just a bit embarrassed that I really dropped the ball on that one,” Ricky continued.

After initially being released in 2004, Oh My God was re-released early 2005, two weeks before the band’s debut album, Employment, landed. The single earned Kaiser Chiefs their first top 10 hit.

Presale begins for Y Not Festival begins on Thursday 25th January at 6pm, while general sale tickets will be available from Friday 26th January at 10am.
