Sam Fender Electrifies Boardmasters 2024 as final headliner.
Newcastle's favourite son, Sam Fender, is set to headline Boardmasters in Cornwall with a stellar lineup announcement.
Boardmasters has unleashed its second wave of artists for the highly anticipated 2024 lineup, culminating in the announcement of Sam Fender as the final headliner.
Long-awaited and rumoured, Fender's appearance is nothing short of electrifying, with the festival unveiling a mega roster of talent, ensuring this year's event will be an unforgettable experience.
For Fender, this marks his third appearance at the festival, coming precisely a decade after his 2014 debut at The View.
He also previously graced the Land of Saints stage in 2018, drawing one of the largest crowds of the weekend, Fender's ascension to headliner status aligns with his skyrocketing success after selling out stadium shows and receiving accolades at major festivals across the UK and Europe.
Eagle-eyed fans had caught glimpses of Fender's imminent presence as his lyrics, including those from Seventeen Going Under, were projected onto Newquay cliffs, teasing the anticipation surrounding his performance.
Following the breakthrough of his debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, in 2019, Fender reached new heights with his 2021 release, Seventeen Going Under. The album catapulted him across the globe, earning accolades such as BRITs, NMEs, and an Ivor Novello.
After selling 110k tickets for two sell-out stadium shows in Newcastle’s St James’ Park, Sam has become one of Britain’s most celebrated and successful musicians of a generation.
With the recent release of Homesick alongside Noah Kahan, Fender is poised to deliver an unforgettable performance in Cornwall.
Joining the headlining trio of Sam Fender, Stormzy, and Chase & Status (Live) are a host of remarkable artists.
Manchester's Courteeners, celebrating 15 years since their debut album St. Jude, promise an unmissable sing-along set.
Elsewhere, Declan McKenna returns to Boardmasters, with a new album on the horizon, aptly titled What Happened to the Beach?
Electronic music duo Overmono, noughties icon Kate Nash, Cornwall's own Wunderhorse, indie rockers NewDad, and singer-songwriter Calum Bowie add diverse flavors to the festival's lineup.
Fiona-Lee, Maya Delilah, and more promise a musical journey across genres.
Boardmasters offers more than just music, presenting an array of water-based activities across four stunning locations.
From surf lessons to high-speed boat rides, attendees can experience the thrill of Cornwall's coast. The festival also introduces Zennor Haven, a haven for mindfulness, fitness challenges at Muscle Beach, and a pop-up cinema under the stars.
With Street Food, Pub Quizzes, Surf Screenings, Bingo, Karaoke, and Family Fun, Boardmasters promises a carnival of activities to entertain festival-goers from day to night. Cornwall Rock Choir and surprises yet to be revealed ensure an immersive experience beyond the music.
As excitement builds for Boardmasters from August 7 to 11, it solidifies its reputation as a must-attend festival, bringing together the biggest names in music and surfing against the backdrop of the breathtaking Cornish coast.
Boardmasters 2024 will take place from the 7th - 11th of August in Newquay, Cornwall.
