Lulu confirmed for Glastonbury performance alongside iconic 80s duo

After lots of speculation, Lulu has finally been confirmed for Glastonbury 2024, and she’ll be joined with some fellow legendary musicians.
Having announced in February that she is set to retire from touring, Lulu was reportedly set to play at Worthy Farm following the conclusion of her last ever tour, which wraps at the London Palladium in May.
Now, that Glasto news has officially been confirmed, with the Glastonbury social media pages revealing the line-up for the Field of Avalon stage.
Lulu first appeared at Glastonbury in 2015 after decades of chart success and a Eurovision Song Contest 1969 win under her belt.
Lulu joins the list alongside the likes of Lucy Spraggan, Frank Turner and 80s legend Toyah Wilcox alongside husband and collaborator Robert Fripp.
The musical couple started their collaboration during 2020 lockdown when they launched their Sunday Lunch series.
Before then, Robert was best known as the founding member of prog-rock band King Crimson, while Toyah began her career in her self-titled band until 1983, before embarking on an impressive solo career, with top 10 singles including I Want To Be Free and Thunder in the Mountains.
The singer and actress also found fame on the big screen as Monkey in 1979’s Quadrophenia, and worked alongside Katharine Hepburn in The Corn is Green.
Now Lulu is all confirmed, she will join the likes of Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA on the bill. The three acts are headlining the Pyramid Stage, while another female superstar, Shania Twain, takes on the legends slot.
The line-up also includes the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Jessie Ware, Paul Heaton, Keane, Paloma Faith, Idles, Little Simz, Disclosure, The National, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, James Blake and Avril Lavigne.

Glastonbury 2024 takes place from Wednesday 26th June through to Sunday 30th June at Worthy Farm in Pilton.
