Cyndi Lauper announces a farewell tour

After an incredible career spanning decades, Cyndi Lauper has announced a series of farewell tour dates for later on this year.

The True Colours star shared the news on her social media.

She has called it the ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour’.

She also hinted that there will be some special guests joining her - but no major clues or names as yet.

While the farewell tour is taking place across North America, Cyndi will be playing a greatest hits shpw at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday June 26th.

She is then set to perform at Glastonbury Festival later that weekend - so if you have tickets, make sure you don't miss the chance to see her play!

The Royal Albert Hall show is sure to be a special one, as it is also her first UK solo concert in a whopping eight years.

There will also be a new documentary coming out, called Let The Canary Sing. 

It will feature a deep dive into Cyndi's impressive career and will include archival footage and interviews with Lauper, as well as the likes of Boy George, Patti LaBelle and more.

The documentary will also include Lauper's efforts in allyship and social activism.

It is out today (June 4) in the United States and Canada.

The release will hit the UK Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria tomorrow (June 5.)
