With just over a week to go until we get to hear the much-anticipated new album from The Killers, the band have offered a few more details about what to expect.

The Las Vegas legends have shared the tracklisting of their new LP, Pressure Machine, which lands on 13th August. It will be made up of eleven songs and, exciting, will include a collaboration with the amazing singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.

The track Runaway Horses will feature Bridgers, whose 2020 album Punisher earned her widespread acclaim and saw her receive four Grammy Award nominations, including Best New Artist.

Along with the tracklisting, The Killers also took to Twitter to share an unnamed piece of audio. The 56-second clip is accompanied by visuals of three members of the band in what looks like a games room or a bar, complete with a jukebox, card table and pool table.

The video then confirms the name of the album and its release date, before the trio can be seen walking away down a shaded alley into sunshine.

Ahead of these new snippets, The Killers had previously announced that Pressure Machine will be a quieter, character-study-driven album, set in frontman Brandon Flowers’ childhood hometown of Nephi, Utah. The record was created during the Covid-19 lockdown, when the band should have been hitting the road in support of 2020’s acclaimed record, Imploding The Mirage.

Pressure Machine is the band’s seventh studio album, and comes just a year after Imploding the Mirage hit the number one spot on the Official UK Chart.

The Killers will be heading to the UK and Ireland for their rescheduled tour dates in April/May next year. 2022, so that gives us plenty of time to familiarise ourselves with the new record before they arrive.
