Duran Duran could be joining the likes of Queen and Elton John as the latest act to have a silver screen Hollywood biopic.

Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and John and Roger Taylor are apparently having discussions about turning their life and career into a film.

Drummer Roger told The Sun: “It’s something that is under discussion. It is being discussed and we’ve had different scripts and ideas put forward.

“We haven’t quite decided on the right one yet. But there are things in development so we will see where they go. We would love to do something like that and I think something will happen in the next few years.”

Roger has already been thinking about who he would like to play him on the big screen: “I would want a really good Hollywood actor to play me.

“It would have to be someone who’s on the cusp of their career, who’s got the right look, the right vibe and that’s going to take some time to find I think,” so no A-Listers for Roger.

The band are currently locked in a battle for the top spot in the charts with Sir Elton John.

Duran Duran released ‘Future Past', their first album in six years.

They teamed up with hit-maker Mark Ronson for the new record, but they’re currently being pipped for the number one place by Sir Elton his album, 'The Lockdown Sessions'.

Maybe it’s Sir Elton’s revenge after the band used an Elton in the debauched new video for their latest single, ‘ANNIVERSARY’.

They also used lookalikes of Stormzy and Madonna.

John Taylor said about the single:  “‘ANNIVERSARY’ is a special song for us. Obviously, we were conscious of our own impending 40th anniversary of making music together, but we wanted the song’s meaning to be inclusive in the broadest possible way.

He added: “After playing and working together for so long, we very much appreciate what ‘being together’ and ’staying together’ can really mean, it’s not something we would have thought song-worthy 20 years ago but we do today!

Time flies when you’re having fun and drummer Roger is in shock too: “I cannot believe it has all gone so quickly, it has flown by.

“I think I just saw it as a reunion and reunions can be short-lived, often it is hard for people to bed in together again. But the four of us just seem to have something special.

“We don’t really discuss too far into the future. As long as we stay healthy and relatively sane — which we will, we’re all in a good place now — I can see it continuing for quite a while.”
