It’s only just over a week until this year’s BRITs, and another cracking act has been added to the live bill on the night.

Sam Fender will take to the stage to perform at The BRIT Awards with Mastercard, which will take place on Tuesday 8th February at the The O2 arena in London. The event will also be screened on ITV and ITV Hub.

The number-one selling singer-songwriter will join Liam Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, and BRITs 2022 Rising Star Holly Humberstone on the live line-up. Also performing will be UK rapper Dave, American artist Doja Cat, and British rapper Little Simz.

Whilst this will be the first time that Sam Fender will perform at the BRITs, he’s no stranger to the event, as he won the Rising Star award in 2019, and was nominated for Best New Artist the following year. At this year’s ceremony, he is up for Artist of the Year, Rock/Alternative Act and Mastercard Album of the Year, for his number one record, Seventeen Going Under.

The Geordie artist said: “It's beyond a dream to be performing at the BRIT Awards this year. Me and the band are so excited to get up on that stage, it's going to be mega!!”

Sam will follow his appearance at the BRITs with a UK arena tour, and then a big outdoor summer gig at London’s Finsbury Park in July.

Meanwhile, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Little Simz all up for four awards at this year’s BRITs, which will be hosted by Mo Gilligan, with Clara Amfo and Maya Jama set to present The BRIT Awards Red Carpet broadcast on ITV2 from 7pm-8pm.

Watch The BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard on Tuesday 8th February on ITV and ITV Hub.
