The legendary artist has given a taster of what fans can expect from his much-anticipated third studio album, by dropping a belting new single. And, on it, he’s collaborated with another big name musician.

Liam Gallagher’s new single, Everything’s Electric, was not only co-written by Dave Grohl, but the Foo Fighters star also performs drums on the track. The duo first met years ago when the Foos and Oasis were on tour together.

Announcing the new song on Twitter this morning (4th February), Liam said: "Morning brothers and sisters, here's my new single 'Everything's Electric', c'mon you know LG x".

This new track was produced by the multiple Grammy Award and Ivor Novello winner Greg Kurstin, who worked with Gallagher on his first two solo albums.

According to the single’s press release, “Liam wanted a song that melds the thunderous dynamics of Beastie Boys’ Sabotage with the spiralling tension and danger of The Rolling Stones’ Gimme Shelter.” The song is the first slice of his new record, C’Mon You Know, which is set to land on May 27th.

Gallagher’s new album follows on from his two previous solo albums, ‘As You Were’ (2017) and ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ (2019). Both shot straight to number one in the UK Official Album Chart, as did his MTV Unplugged record, which came out in 2020.

Everything’s Electric is the former Oasis singer’s first new song since 2020’s All You’re Dreaming Of, and he is set to give the new single song its live debut to a massive television audience when he performs at the BRIT Awards next Tuesday (8th February). We can't wait!

Also performing at The Brits will be some other massive names, including Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Fender.

You can watch Liam playing his new single live at The BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard on Tuesday 8th February on ITV and ITV Hub.
