Listen to the new Red Hot Chili Peppers single, Poster Child

Ahead of the much-anticipated release of their upcoming album, Red Hot Chili Peppers have dropped a new track. 

For RHCP fans, the new LP, Unlimited Love, can’t come soon enough. The upcoming twelfth studio album by the band lands on April 1st, and it comes six years after their last record, The Getaway. It will be their first album since legendary guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the group in 2019. He last played on Stadium Arcadium in 2006.

To get people even more excited about the Rick Rubin-produced record, Red Hot Chili Peppers have shared another taste of what to expect. Having released the first single from it, Black Summer, last month, the Chilis have now unleashed a further tune. 

In Poster Child, vocalist Anthony Kiedis drops names left, right and centre. He mentions the likes of Richard Hell, Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin, Duran Duran, Thin Lizzy, Ramones, Billy Idol, and Motörhead, amongst others.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to the UK this summer to play some massive dates. They’ll be in Manchester on 22nd June, and then will head to the capital, for a show at the London Stadium on Saturday June 25th. The bad news is, that one has already sold out. The good news is that they’ve added another London show at the same venue the following day, Sunday June 26th. 

After that they will be heading to Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on July 1st. And the band will also be heading over to Dublin on June 29th.

And it seems like there is more to come from RHCP after the new album and tour, as Frusciante told NME that the band recorded a bunch more music in their recording sessions with Rick Rubin and that there is a “loose plan” for a follow-up album to Unlimited Love.
