The Killers have dropped a brand new film, which features three stripped-back live performances.
With the deluxe edition of their most recent album, Pressure Machine, set to drop tomorrow (March 25th), the Las Vegas legends have treated fans to versions of Cody, Terrible Thing, and Quiet Town in their new documentary and live film, Notes From A Quiet Town.
The film, which checks in at just over half-an-hour, sees the band visit Nephi, the town in Utah where frontman Brandon Flowers grew up between the ages of eight and 16.
The band took inspiration from Nephi when putting together their seventh studio album, Pressure Machine, using memories and stories from the people who impacted Flowers’ life.
The vocalist explained: “Many memories of my time in Nephi are tender. But the ones tied to fear or great sadness were emotionally charged. I’ve got more understanding now than when we started the band, and hopefully I was able to do justice to these stories and these lives in this little town that I grew up in.”
As well as three live performances, the film features interviews with locals. You can watch it in full here:
Tomorrow’s release of the deluxe edition of Pressure Machine will allow fans to wrap their ears around reworkings of songs from the album, including The Getting By, West Hills, and Runaway Horses, which was originally recorded as a collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers.
