The much-anticipated new Red Hot Chili Peppers album lands a week from now, and to get us even more excited than we already are, the band have unveiled another single from it.
RHCP had already released two tunes from the new record, lead-single Black Summer and the more recent Poster Child, and they have now dropped their third single, Not The One.
These three tracks give fans a taste of what to expect from the new record, Unlimited Love, which arrives on Friday April 1st. The album is RHCP’s first since 2016’s The Getaway, and represents their first studio LP since the return of guitarist John Frusciante, who came back into the fold in 2019.
You can have a listen to new ballad, Not The One, which features Flea playing piano as well as bass, here:
New LP Unlimited Love is produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, who also worked on breakthrough RHCP album Blood Sugar Sex Magik in 1991, as well as Californication, By The Way, and Stadium Arcadium.
If you like what you’re hearing of the new RHCP material, then you’ll be excited to learn that the band are heading over to the UK in the summer for a tour.
You can catch them playing tunes from their new album, as well as a host of hits from their vast back-catalogue, in Manchester on 22nd June. They will then play an already sold-out gig at the London Stadium on June 25th, before hitting the stage again the following day at the same venue. At the time of writing, there are still tickets available for that one.
After that, the Chilis will head to Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 29th, and then the tour will take the band to Scotland for a turn at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on July 1st.
In the meantime, the countdown to the arrival of the new album is definitely on!
