‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’, the Stockport band's fourth album, delivers third UK number one.

The new release follows 2016’s Blossoms and 2020’s Foolish Loving Spaces, in topping the Official UK Album Chart. Good news for fans of circular plastic too, the new album has also claimed the Number One position on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

The band told OfficialCharts.com; “It’s happened again! Ribbon Around the Bomb is the Official UK Number 1 album this week – [our] third time. A hat-trick of Number 1s for us. We’re very proud of this record, so thanks to everyone who bought it. We’re going to have a great night now. Nice one!”

80s pop champ Rick Astley, who fronted a Smiths tribute band formed by Blossoms last year, was quick to congratulate the group!

Obviously we're a radio station website and not an internationally famous pop star/meme, but we'd also like to extend our congratulations to Blossoms on their recent chart topping.

What better way to celebrate than revisiting our recent session with the group - including a barnstorming cover of 'Someday' by The Stokes. Watch that here.
