It’s a busy time for Liam Gallagher! His new album comes out later this week, and he will be playing two hotly-anticipated, sold-out Knebworth shows at the start of June, as well as a whole bunch of other massive gigs around the UK this summer. And he’s just added another date to his jam-packed diary, as he is set to close his historic outdoor run with a September show in Cardiff.

And if seeing the legendary ex-Oasis man at the breathtaking open-air site at Alexandra Head in the spectacular Cardiff Bay isn’t enough of a draw for you, then he will be supported by very special guests The Charlatans as well. Now that’s what we call a good night out!

There are expected to be other artists added to the line-up for the gig, which takes place on Thursday 15th September. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 27th May At 10am, via livenation.co.uk.

Friday 27th May is already a big day for fans of Liam. As well as Cardiff tickets going up for grabs, that is also the date when his third studio album, C’mon You Know, is released. We have, of course, already heard the banging singles Everything’s Electric and Better Days from the record, which is expected to land at number one, as both of his previous solo LPs did.

The rock ‘n’ roll star will also release a new live album, Down By The River Thames, on the same day. The show was recorded on a barge for a special live-stream in December 2020.

The week after the new record goes on sale, Liam will take on his two biggest solo shows to date, at Knebworth Park, the venue where Oasis played their seminal shows back in 1996.

Liam will be supported by some amazing acts at Knebworth on 3rd and 4th June. You can find out more about them here.

And if you’re not fortunate enough to be heading along to see the former Oasis star live this summer, then you can at least console yourself by watching a brand new Sky documentary about him this week. Liam Gallagher 48 Hours at Rockfield - which will be simulcast on Sky Max, Sky Arts, and NOW at 9pm on 24th May 2022 - will feature exclusive session performances from the legendary frontman, as well as insight from his sons Lennon and Gene.
