The broody number is called 'I Am'.

Stranger Things star Jamie Bower has shared his fourth single of 2022.

London born Bower recently has received acclaim for his portrayal of Henry Creel/One/Vecna in the fourth series of the hit Netflix sci-fi series. He previously appeared in The Twilight SagaHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

But with his musician hat on - and what a nice hat it is - new single 'I Am' is a dark country song, with a video to match. Directed by brothers Vicente and Fernando Cordero, Bower has said that the clip represents, “a haunting display of being confronted by your inner self”.

You can watch that below.

Bower, who between 2015 and 2020 was the frontman of British rock band Counterfeit, had announced the song during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he also comedically recited the lyrics to Lizzo‘s ‘About Damn Time’ using the voice of his Stranger Things character.

And you can watch that below too!

It's clear that the 33 year old is enjoying the solo life, previously telling NME, “I feel creatively in the best space that I’ve been in for a long time, if ever. I want to be cautious here because I don’t want to be like, ‘Oh, well, I’m the lone wolf and I don’t need anyone’, but there is certainly something to be said for just going with your gut and going with intuition.”

Bower isn't the only member of the Stranger Things cast to make music.

Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, makes music as Djo and has an album out on September 16th, while Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley, and Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), have also recorded their own albums. And apparently they all help each other out!

“We listen to a lot of music together in our downtime,” Keery also told NME last month. “Maya [Hawke] and I just swapped links for our records, which was fun, and actually Finn [Wolfhard] came into the studio when I was recording. We were hanging out and working and he gave me his thoughts on the new record… The Stranger Things family band!”
