Arctic Monkeys are on their first tour since the coronavirus pandemic. They appeared in Prague last Thursday (August 18th). Prague is nice. We recommend the knedliky (that'll be bread dumplings).

And to mark the occasion, the band treated fans in the Czech Republic capital to the ‘Suck It And See’ album track towards the end of their set.

The Sheffield band are clearly having fun digging into their back catalogue. Night one of the tour, in Istanbul, saw them dust off ‘Potion Approaching’ for the first time since 2011.

In Prague, ‘Four Out Of Five’ was also on the setlist.

'That's Where You're Wrong' was last performed live by the band in May 2013. You can watch the performance of the song from Prague below.

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders recently shared some info with NME about the band’s upcoming seventh album, saying that it “picks up where [2018's] Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino left off”.

“I mean, it’s never gonna be like [2012 AM single] ‘R U Mine?’ and all that stuff again," he said, "you know, the heavy riffs and stuff. But there are riffs in there and [it’s] a bit more up-tempo, even though it’s not loud. It’s hard to explain!”

Asked if the new album - yet to be titled - was “ready to go”, Helders replied: “Yeah, pretty much, yeah. It was a bit disjointed how we had to do it, and there are bits to finish off, but yeah, it’s all in the works.”

Arctic Monkeys comeback tour will visit Europe, North America, South America and Australia, with headline appearances at Reading & Leeds in August to come – their only two UK live appearances scheduled for 2022 so far.

This is all well and good, but returning to the subject of Prague's delicious food, we'd also like to show some love to bramborak - which is of course, a potato pancake.
