Brian May wants to collaborate with Paul McCartney

But he says that Queen are never, ever playing Glastonbury.

There's 155 years of experience between Paul McCartney and Brian May - how awesome would it be if they teamed up for a tune?

Well, the good news is that Sir Brian - who yesterday had his Twitter account hacked, see video below - is up for it. And he wants to collaborate with Avril Lavigne too...

Speaking at the premiere of Cirque Du Soleil: Kurios, the Queen guitarist told The Sun: "I have never really collaborated but I'd love to work with Paul McCartney and Avril Lavigne.

"Every time I see her I think she is very rock and roll and there are a lot of female artists but she is the best. With Paul it would be really interesting to sit down and see all that pan out."

He continued, "Right now I am working on a reissue of one of my solo albums, Star Fleet Project.

"I have been going back into the vaults and finding all the outtakes with all the mistakes and the bits of fun. It is something I am very proud of and will be out in July."

Here's a bonkers fact. Brian or Queen have never played Glastonbury Festival - which is headlined this year by Sir Elton John, for the very first time. And he says they never will.

Brian - who has frequently campaigned against animal cruelty - insists his non-negotiable stance on badger culling means he will never set foot on Worthy Farm.

"Would I ever do it? No," he said. "As the man who runs it [festival co-creator and dairy farmer Michael Eavis] advocates killing badgers for no good reason, and I could never level with that.

"Have they tried to book us? I think the feeling is mutual so I think they understand how I feel."
