Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett tease ‘insane’ Dish series 6 guests

Angela Hartnett joined Nick Grimshaw in the Virgin Radio studio this morning (29th July) to dish up all the details about their foodie podcast’s next series.

Grimmy, who is currently presenting The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with webuyanycar while Chris is on his summer holiday, and Michelin-star chef Angela host the podcast Dish, on which celebrities join the pair for hilarious, unfiltered dinner party chats.

Recent guests on the duo’s podcast include Danny Dyer and Ryan Sampson, Anne-Marie Duff, and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme.

While catching up with each other on today’s breakfast show, Nick and Angela both teased fans about who they’re expecting to interview for the podcast’s next series - its sixth so far.

And despite having to remain tight-lipped about their planned guests, the duo found a way to tease fans with a few hints about who they’ll be entertaining in the near future.

“We’ve got a big, A-list actress on our first opening [episode], a triple A actress” Angela shared cryptically. Grimmy agreed, adding: “I’d say, if you stopped someone in the street and said ‘Name an actress,’ they’d probably say this person. They’re like, that famous.”

He continued, boasting teasingly: “I said who it was to my friend yesterday, and she nearly dropped her glass. She was like ‘That is insane.’ And I think it is, I think it’s insane.”

Writing down another name that they will be hosting on the show, Angela responded excitedly: “I’ve cooked for him!... He recognises me, and when I’ve seen him in the restaurant, he’s so polite.”

But still the pair were very careful not to name drop who they were talking about, so fans will just have to wait and see who matches the pair’s descriptions when new episodes begin to drop in September this year.

While catching up with his friend this morning, Grimmy also expressed his interest in coming along to view her at work in the kitchen of her London restaurant Murano sometime in the future.

“I still want to do my shift,” the radio host said. “Nothing serious,” he was quick to add. “Something low risk… Because I’ve never seen a working kitchen in a restaurant, so I’m just intrigued.”

“Alright,” was Angela’s game reply. “You can do that. We’ll get you in on like a Thursday, Friday night… see how you do!”
