Denise Van Outen will be making the leap from TV to the silver screen.

The star has had some good news, landing her first film role.

She'll be appearing alongside Jennifer Saunders and Ed Sheeran in the new movie, where she plays a nurse.

The comedy drama is called 'Sumotherhood' and will be directed by Adam Deacon.

He also directed 'Anuvahood' in 2011.

Denise is no stranger to TV, but this will be her first major film role.

As well as Denise, the film will star Peter Serafinowicz, Misfits actor Danny Sapani, model Leomie Anderson, Kevin Bishop, London Hughes and Jaime Winstone.

The new movie is a return to filmmaking for Deacon, more than 10 years since his directorial debut with Anuvahood.

He won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2012, but took a step back from the limelight in 2015 after being diagnosed as bipolar.

He says the movie will focus on the “variety of life in East London in 2022.

This may be Denise's first film, but she has also starred in many plays and theatre roles.

She also starred in a previous series of The Masked Singer.

Denise shared on Instagram that she was excited to be joining Masked Singer Live team for the UK tour, alongside Aston Merrygold with Joel Dommett hosting.

Is there no end to her talents?
