A new movie is heading to cinemas soon, and it’s being described as “a romantic comedy with a twist.”
Moonshot follows Walt (played by Cole Sprouse from Riverdale) and Sophie (Lana Condor from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as they team up for a journey that winds up taking them both wildly and unexpectedly off course. The twist? They take a trip to Mars!
The story follows Sophie, whose long-term boyfriend Calvin (Scream’s Mason Gooding) has moved with his family and taken a job out of town. As in, a long way out of town. A really long way out of town. Mars, to be precise, which has been colonised by humans.
Meanwhile Cole Sprouse plays an assistant barista in a college bookshop who meets Ginny (Emily Rudd from Fear Street). Ginny then also jets off to where her new life is waiting.
The trailer shows Sophie’s decision to enrol in the Mars program so that she can be with her BF, and how Walt manages to sneak onto the ship with her. To avoid people finding out that Walt has stowed away, he pretends to be Sophie's boyfriend, and the trailer shows the fun they have as they make their way to Mars.
The film’s synopsis says: “A romantic comedy with a twist, Moonshot follows Walt and Sophie as they join forces in order to be reunited with their significant others, embarking upon a lively journey that winds up taking them both wildly and unexpectedly off course.”

The film also stars the legendary Zach Braff from Scrubs and Garden State. It is directed by Christopher Winterbauer.
There is no confirmed release date for Moonshot just yet, but you can expect to to land sometime soon.
