It wouldn’t be The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer without some seriously silly moments. (Spoilers ahead)
The first episode of the 2022 series kicked off with some questionable decisions by TV presenter Emma Willis and Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison.
They were joined by the likes of radio DJ Clara Amfo and Taskmaster’s Alex Horne in the famous Bake Off tent, but it was Emma and Blake that left viewers in stitches with their baking creations.
The stars were tasked with baking some biscuits, Madeleine sponges as the technical and then choux pastry sculptures.
Sounds simple right? Well for Emma, viewers were not only stunned by her seriously good baking skills, but by her very rather ambiguous elephant biscuits.
The Voice host, who went on to win Star Baker, made some Viennese biscuits in the shape of an elephant's head, but as pointed out by host Matt Lucas, they looked a bit like something else entirely.
“Once I put eyes on them, it’s going to look like an elephant.” Emma insisted. Spoiler alert - they didn't.
Fans got the giggles with the telly star, with one writing on Twitter: “We’re all seeing the same thing with @EmmaWillis elephant biscuits right?! #GBBO #SU2C”.
Another commented: “LMAO at Emma Willis elephant biscuits. They remind me of more than just an elephant". *chef kiss* #GBBO”, while a third said: “Emma's Elephant biscuits look more like something rude #GBBO.”
Meanwhile, actor Blake didn’t fare much better in the episode’s final challenge, which ended up as a true showstopper!
Blake decided his choux pastry extravaganza was going to show judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith ‘wrestling’ in a ring, and while Blake called it a ‘triangle choke’ position, it left already shocked fans in hysterics.
Back on social media, one fan joked on Twitter: “This really needs an adult content warning.”
The next batch of stars will hit the tent for the second episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer on Tuesday 29th March at 8pm on Channel 4.
