If you’re in need of a new drama to binge, this new Netflix release might be for you.

The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the Michael Connelly book series of the same name, launched on 13th May, and has landed straight in the Netflix Top 10 TV shows in the UK.

The official Netflix synopsis reads: “Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.”

Starring alongside Manuel is Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson, while Michael is at the helm as a writer and executive producer.

If the title sounds familiar, that’s because Matthew McConaughey starred in the 2011 film adaptation, which focused on the story within the first book.

The 10-part series is based on the second book, and luckily for fans, there are six books in total, meaning a series two is very likely.

The author himself is very much up for more of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. He recently tweeted; “As for season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer, we’re waiting to hear and really hope it happens. If you enjoy the show please do give it a thumbs up on Netflix. And if you like to rate shows on sites like Rotten Tomatoes & IMDb, we would really appreciate that, too. It all helps. Thanks.”

It’s a good thing too as fans are going wild for the new series on social media.

One fan wrote: “15 minutes into The Lincoln Lawyer and I'm begging Netflix to renew it for Season 2 and 3,” while another said: “The Lincoln lawyer was absolutely excellent, I need a season 2 immediately.”

A third commented: “For anyone who hasn't yet watched The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, watch it ASAP. Haven't seen anything this good for a while now.”

The Lincoln Lawyer is available to watch on Netflix now.
