A spine-tingling film about the much-loved late Princess Di is coming to Sky Documentaries on 14th August marking the 25th anniversary of her death and offering new insight into her life, the public's obsession with her and beyond.

Telling the story in the present day exclusively through original audio and video footage, the Sky Original feature includes her fairy-tale-to-fractured marriage to Prince Charles, motherhood, press scrutiny and her life in all its colour up until her devastating death.

The press release states The Princess’ plot will 'allow viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana’s every move and the constant judgment of her character'.

Unlike previous Diana stories, The Princess takes 'an entirely immersive approach, drawing solely from audio and video footage from the time to take audiences back to these era-defining events' and allowing the narrative to unfold.

The film highlights the formidable affect she had on the nation - and the globe - and is 'a fresh and bold account of Diana’s life and death' from Academy-Award and Emmy winning producers of Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man and LA92 and the Academy-Award nominated director of Black Sheep and Tell Me Who I Am.

The Princess will air on Sky Documentaries on 14 August and has already received rave reviews at Sundance Film Festival in January.
