Could Olivia Attwood be returning to the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle after being forced to leave last year?

The Love Island star had to exit the 2022 series “on medical grounds” despite wanting to stay, but ITV staff decided at the time it was safer to send her home.

With the impending 2023 series just days away from kicking off, there’s been lots of chatter about Olivia potentially returning to see out the competition Down Under in full, but she put those rumours to bed via her Instagram Stories on Sunday (12th November) after being spotted at Manchester airport by fans.

Writing on her social media page, the reality star explained: “I wasn't going to talk about anything jungle related because if I'm honest, the way things played out last year still makes my heart hurt... and brain.”

'I couldn't commit to going back this year. It wasn't the right time for me. There were many things that I had to weigh up, but ultimately the sheer intensity of my schedule doesn't allow for that much time 'out of the office…”

Olivia added that her statement was brought on by fans messaging her their support, which she admitted she “will never ever take for granted. “

She continued: “One day I hope when the time is right. We can finish my jungle story.. for you guys and for myself. Now seems like a good time to let my hair down for a few days. I am burstinggg screaming crying at the seamssss to share with you the tele things I have coming.”

While we await the official ITV line-up for 2023’s I’m A Celeb, a number of stars have been touching down on Australian soil, looking like they might be ready to attempt jungle life.

The likes of Nigel Farage, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, professional boxer Tony Bellew and Britney Spears’ sister Jamie-Lynn Spears have been seen landing in Aus, with Fred Sirieix, Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard and Frankie Dettori also heavily rumoured to join the cast.

Someone not expected to take part in any Bushtucker Trials anytime soon though is Corrie star Alan Halsall, who was part of the rumoured line-up but reportedly pulled out due to medical reasons.

The Sun revealed that Tyrone actor Alan has undergone ACL surgery and will have a long recovery time, meaning he wouldn’t be fit enough to join.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! 2023 begins on ITV at 9pm on Sunday 19th November.
