In a viral TikTok video posted on June 22, Lycett revealed that Styles, the heartthrob singer known for his chart-topping hits and bold fashion choices, still owes him a Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter bar as part of the payment for a unique painting Lycett created last year.

"Harry Styles bought a painting off me and has not paid his invoice," Lycett announced, with a grin that could light up a stadium.

The comedian explained that he had painted his own whimsical version of David Hockney’s 2023 portrait of Styles.

In this 'masterpiece' of Lycett's, the Watermelon Sugar crooner is depicted with his head shaped like an egg, sporting an orange and red cardigan and a pearl necklace.

Now, let’s backtrack a bit. The original Hockney portrait of Styles was quite the sensation, with the singer visiting Hockney's studio in Normandy, France, for the sitting.

The artwork was later displayed at London’s National Portrait Gallery in November 2023. Inspired, Lycett shared his quirky rendition in August, catching the eye of Styles himself.

Jayne Middlemiss, with her infectious energy, picked up the story on her Virgin Radio show, sharing how this all unfolded.

"So I don't know if you've heard about this massive situation involving Joe Lycett and Harry Styles," she began, setting the stage for the delightful drama.

Middlemiss detailed the humorous exchange: "Joe Lycett painted a portrait of Harry Styles. It’s gorgeous, right? He looks like an egg wearing a cardi and a pearl necklace. Harry took one look at it and said, 'I want to hang that in my house immediately. Can I purchase it?' They agreed on a purchase price: six English pounds and a chunky peanut butter Kit Kat."

With the deal struck, Lycett sent the painting off to Styles, invoice included. But months went by, and the Kit Kat was nowhere to be seen.

Lycett, ever the showman, took to social media to alert his followers, escalating the hilarity by saying Styles had yet to pay the full invoice.

Middlemiss continued, recounting how the saga took another twist: "A few days later, Joe opens the package containing the payment. Inside, there are six English pounds, bubble wrapped and cling filmed together. However, there is no chunky peanut butter Kit Kat!"

Naturally, Lycett wasn't about to let Styles off the hook so easily.

"Joe has now said he is suing Harry Styles, and it is absolutely going ballistic on social media," Middlemiss reported, adding fuel to the comedic fire.

To get the inside scoop, Middlemiss reached out to Lycett for a statement. His response?

Classic Joe: "I would ask you to urge Mr. Styles to settle this case. He has until four o'clock tomorrow to respond, or I will be forced to escalate. It's disappointing that it's come to this. Also, you're great, have a great show."

Middlemiss couldn't help but keep listeners on tenterhooks, teasing the potential next steps in this deliciously absurd tale.

She finished with: "We are on tenterhooks to find out the rest of this story. Hopefully, we'll be able to speak to Joe tomorrow to see how this is going to go out."

Known for his public stunts, including trolling Tory politicians and mocking former UK prime minister Liz Truss on national TV, Lycett’s playful challenge to Styles is another example of his knack for turning everyday occurrences into comedic gold.

Will Harry Styles deliver the elusive Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter bar and bring this saga to a sweet conclusion? Or will Lycett escalate his playful pursuit? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: this is one showbiz showdown you don’t want to miss!
