Many fans hated the way that Game Of Thrones ended, and now the co-creator has revealed he is long past it.

One of the co-creators, D.B. Weiss, has said that he and David Benioff are keen to leave the smash-hit show behind.

“It was the best decade of our lives. It still kind of feels a bit like a dream, but we got to a place where it was pretty clear to us that we had reached the end of what made sense for us to be involved within that world that we lived.

“It just felt like, for us, it was time to move on and get excited and terrified about building something else — building lots of something elses.”

Weiss added: “We never saw more Game of Thrones shows [as] something that made sense for us to be involved with, given where we were just as people at the time we were done with the original.”

However, he did add that the time working on Game of Thrones was “the best decade of our lives”.

“All in, we were 11 years, probably, doing that show. When I say 11 years, it was full on, all in, all day, every day for 11 years,” he said.

One of the stars of the series, John Bradley, who played Samwell Tarly, said thinks fans “lost their minds” over the ending.

He told NME: “The fan reaction was so fierce and vociferous, when people think of Game Of Thrones, they have a sense of disappointment because they didn’t like the finale."

Fans have high hopes for the new prequel called 'House of the Dragon'.

It's set to be released later this year.

A new studio tour has also opened in Northern Ireland.
