After a two-year hiatus, Britain’s Got Talent is back!

ITV had just released a new teaser trailer showing judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden back in front of those famous red buttons ready to see the wonderful (often weird) talent the UK has to offer.

In the preview clip, Simon hypes up the show by saying: “Two minutes on this show could change your life forever.”

The 60-second video demonstrates the wide array of different talents laid out for the judges this year, and teased some serious hijinks, laughter and shenanigans, as well as those unforgettable emotional moments.

There appear to be Lucha wrestlers, comedians, skateboarders, choirs, Simon Cowell impersonators, magicians and even dinosaurs trying their luck in front of the panel this year.

Meanwhile, Ant and Dec announced BGT was heading back to screens with a hilarious social media post, getting fans excited for the new series.

We have been looking forward to the talent show's return to our screens after a two-year break due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and the wait is nearly over.

In an announcement featuring Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, it was revealed the show would be coming back on Saturday, 16th April

The video begins with Dec saying: “It’s been such a long time since Britain’s Got Talent has been on our screens”.

Sombre music and clips of the judges crying in past seasons play until the hosts say there is more “exciting news”.

Britain's Got Talent launches on Saturday 16th April at 8pm and continues on Sunday at 7.35pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
