It was another episode packed full of intense discussion, gruelling challenges and strategic decisions on The Traitors last night (13th December).

After last week’s shock exit of Traitor Alyssa, who was betrayed by fellow Traitor Wilf, the remaining Traitors were given the opportunity to recruit another member and they chose Alex.

At the start of the episode, we saw Alex receive the invite and make her decision about whether to remain a Faithful or join the dark side.

She said: “I’ve seen how heavy the crown of being a Traitor weighs on the heads of those sat around that table, and after experiencing how intense it is to be a Faithful, I don’t think I'll be able to do it. I may end up regretting this decision, but I still feel like as a Faithful I could potentially stay all the way.

“So, for that reason, I will politely decline the offer to become a Traitor.”

Having declined the offer, it meant no one would get murdered that night and all contestants made it to breakfast- but Alex decided it best to conceal her recruitment offer.

The group then took part in the latest challenge, which saw them rolling barrels of whisky up a hill to a distillery.

It was then time for the roundtable, and it ended up being an explosive one when Alex came clean about her invite from The Traitors, which caused a lot of accusations to be thrown around.

However, it was Rayan that ended up in the firing line and became the latest contestant to be banished from the competition.

Revealing his status, Rayan addressed the group: “I have had a really good time in here and I'm grateful for that even if it is cut short today. But... I am a Faithful”.

The episode ended on yet another cliffhanger as the Traitors decided who they wanted to murder that night, with their sights set on Alex and Amos.

The Traitors continues on BBC One this week on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th December at 9pm. Catch up now BBC iPlayer.
