Mrs Hinch fans share simple hack for getting pen out of school jumpers

As kids go back to school, chances are you're dreading the laundry pile building up.

There's nothing worse than marker pen all over brand new school uniform, but Mrs Hinch fans have shared a genius suggestion for shifting stains.

The came to the rescue after one mum shared that her son had come home with pen scrawls all over his brand new school jumper.

She said the mishap took place in just two hours at school.

She shared a pic of the soiled sweater and wrote: "two hours at school, whiteboard marker, any tried and tested ideas to remove!??"

"Even the teachers have apologised that they can’t buy washable [markers] because they are too expensive! I just wondered if anyone had actually found anything that worked for them?"

Another mum sympathised, replying: "This always happens with my kids and can never get it out."

The stressed mum said she had tried soaking in alcohol, before scrubbing with washing-up liquid and washing as normal.

Despite her best efforts the stains were still there.

One user recommended using hairspray or hand sanitiser.

"Cover in hair spray, rub with a baby wipes and repeat," one said.

"Hand sanitizer then stain remover," a second wrote.
