Mystery of sports car that hasn't moved from London hotel in two years

A TikTok creator has got people wondering why a hot pink sports car has been left outside a hotel.

It's easy to spot, and people have been comparing when they first saw it and trying to get to the bottom of the mystery.

The creator, called Gabby (@SoggySpin4ch) shared a video featuring the iconic car, asking: "When will this pink car move? This car has been here the whole pandemic."

The pink McLaren is located outside the iconic St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel (from the Spice Girls 'Wannabe' video next to King's Cross St. Pancras station.)

Some commenters say it arrived at the start of the pandemic back in March 2020.

Others have wondered how it has managed to stay there for so long.

More then 1.3 million people have watched the video so far, with more than 78,000 likes.

One wrote: “Wait… I walked past this like 7 months ago… IT’S STILL THERE?”

Someone else couldn't believe their eyes either: “I remember seeing it when I stayed there in the spring.”

Another added: “I literally live in Oxford and whenever I come to London see this car.”

While one added: “OMG I SAW IT WHEN I WAS IN LONDON IN LIKE AUGUST.”

However, one person claimed it had been there "for at least 8 years".

Some commenters claimed that the owner lives in the fancy hotel.

One person said: “It’s been there since before 2018 at least, owner lives in the Hotel. They allow him to park it there since it looks good.”

Someone who claims to work there wrote: "I actually work at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the McLaren is owned by one guest who permanently moved into the hotel near the start of the pandemic because he was having trouble getting back to his country."
