Boy George, Gary Barlow, Taylor Hawkins and more to pay tribute to David Bowie on livestream this weekend

 “A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day!” livestream is taking place this Saturday. A whole host of artists are taking part who worked with David Bowie or who were inspired and influenced by his work.

The likes of Boy George, Gary Barlow, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Duran Duran, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), William Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), YUNGBLUD, Adam Lambert, Gary Oldman, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Macy Gray and many, many more.

These artists have never performed together before and will be bringing you their own renditions of Bowie’s greatest hits alongside treasured fan favourites.

As well as the star singers and musicians, they'll be joining alumni members of Bowie’s bands, taking in his entire career from his 1969 self-titled album through his final album, Blackstar. 

$2 per ticket purchase will be donated to Save the Children, a charity that meant a lot to Bowie.  Starting at 2am January 9th, the show will continue to play on loop and will remain available for ticket holders around the globe to enjoy for 24 hours after its initial stream.

There's over three hours of music to look forward to, giving fans a chance to reminisce and remember the incredible Bowie and enjoying his music once more.

This Sunday evening on Virgin Radio, we will mark the anniversary of David Bowie's death with a special show - 'Conversations with Bowie'. The programme features broadcaster Nicky Horne's interviews with Bowie, offering a unique insight into his thoughts on his music and his life and includes excerpts from his first live webcast, where he answered questions from his fans live online. Listen from 10pm this Sunday (10th January) on Virgin Radio UK.

Over on Virgin Radio Anthems, we will also be marking the occasion with a special edition of 'Sunday Night Live: Classics'. This show will celebrate his music with a live performance from his Glastonbury headline set in 2000, and there'll be live music from the myriad of bands and artists he collaborated with - including Queen, John Lennon, Iggy Pop and Tina Turner.
