At Ease is a festival that wants to make a difference, and the weekend of music and fun has a particular focus on mental health and charity.

The new festival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend at Euston Park, Suffolk. This year's inaugural event will raise money for two charities: My Black Dog, whose patron is our very own Eddy Temple-Morris, and Sporting Force.

The music line-up for the festival includes headline sets from Kaiser Chiefs and Jake Bugg, while Happy Mondays, Natalie Imbruglia, Isaac Stuart, The Bootleg Beatles, Noasis, and ABBA Gold are among the other acts that will perform.

The festival also promises a DJ set from Gok Wan, and will host a bunch of non-music entertainment as well. Over the two days there will be uplifting, interactive and educational activities, locally sourced food, games, guest conversations with live discussions on mental health and wellbeing, and kids entertainment from Horrible Histories and Fireman Sam.

There will also be family workshops, fairground rides, vintage stores, wellness treatments, and daily yoga.

Niki Clarke, founder of charity partner My Black Dog, said: “My Black Dog is an online peer-to-peer support service for people struggling with their mental health. During the pandemic, we saw a 2030 percent increase in people using our service and last year we saw double the number of users from the previous year.”

She continued: “At Ease is an incredibly important platform for us to be able to raise awareness about My Black Dog and to reach those people who are struggling through dark days. It is a much-needed opportunity to raise vital funds and support our continuing growth.”

Tommy Lowther, the founder of Sporting Force, said: “Sporting Force is a charity to help ex-servicemen, women and their families into work, volunteering, education and social events within the professional sports sector. We help hundreds of veterans every year and it is only possible to do so with kind donations from the public.

“At Ease festival will not only show ex-military personnel what support agencies are available but will also promote the charity so as to reach more veterans who may be struggling.”

At Ease festival will create an inclusive platform to open up the support network for all those needing a mental health boost, enabling veterans and non-veterans to socialise, grow and gain opportunity in a safe and friendly environment.

At Ease takes place from August 26th-28th at Euston Park, Suffolk. Tickets went on sale at 9am today (February 25th). And you can also buy a ticket for your dog, so they don’t have to miss out on all the fun!
