Cook a cat, this sounds ruddy Beautiful. James Blunt is starring in a new documentary feature which promises to be a cross between Spinal Tap and Alan Partridge. From the same creative hands of BBC's Bros: After the Screaming Stops and award-winning Oasis documentary Supersonic, we'll be getting up-close-and-personal with the hilariously-brilliant singing superstar.

Brought to us by Lorton Entertainment, the story centres around the 'ageing, British popstar, still fighting for relevance some seventeen years after his star momentarily twinkled. No one has a more extraordinary story than James Blunt. The soldier turned singer has one of the most inspiring trajectories in the history of music'.

The documentary follows him on the road during his 2022 Greatest Hit Tour across Europe and we've got access all areas. Directed by Chris Atkins, the audience will delve inside his past, from serving in the Kosovo War to his noughties pop success, the backlash following and tweeting his way back to hero status.

A warts-and-all story of a 'painfully self-aware' musician will show a very honest and layered Blunt, and we can't wait.

The chart (and comedy) genius admitted: “In hindsight, I’m not sure letting them film this was a good idea.”
